1. Components
Gas cylinders: Common ones are oxygen cylinders and gas cylinders. Oxygen cylinders provide oxygen, a combustion-supporting gas, and gas cylinders can be filled with acetylene, propane, butane and other combustible gases according to their types. Gas cylinders of different colors are convenient for distinguishing gas types, such as blue oxygen cylinders and yellow propane cylinders.
Welding gun: It is a core component. By adjusting the mixing ratio of oxygen and gas, the temperature and characteristics of the flame are controlled to achieve melting welding of metals. Its structural design is ergonomic and easy to operate. Some welding guns can flexibly adjust the size and shape of the flame.
Connecting hose: It is used to connect gas cylinders and welding guns to transmit oxygen and gas. It is usually red and blue, red transmits gas, and blue transmits oxygen. The material is pressure-resistant, wear-resistant and has a certain degree of flexibility.
Pressure reducing valve and pressure gauge: The pressure reducing valve is installed at the valve of the gas cylinder to reduce the gas pressure in the gas cylinder to a suitable working pressure; the pressure gauge displays the gas pressure in real time, which is convenient for operators to monitor and adjust, ensuring a stable and safe welding process.
Other accessories: may include goggles to protect the operator's eyes from strong light and sparks; igniters for safely igniting the welding torch flame; wrenches and other tools for installing, removing and adjusting gas cylinder valves and related components.
2. Working principle
Open the valves of the oxygen cylinder and gas cylinder, and the gas is decompressed by the pressure reducing valve and delivered to the welding torch through the connecting hose. In the welding torch, oxygen and gas are mixed in a set ratio, and after being ignited by the igniter, a high-temperature flame is generated, which is used to melt the parent material and filler material to achieve welding.
